The securities regulator has postponed the public subscription of Argon Denims following an appeal made by the company.
"We postponed the IPO subscription of Argon Denims scheduled from September 9 as the company feared under-subscription due to overall situation of the stock market," an official of SEC said Wednesday.
Argon is the third IPO which failed to begin subscription on scheduled date. Earlier Summit Purbanchol Power and Envoy Textiles faced the similar fate in last month (July).
The decision was taken in a commission meeting chaired by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Professor M Khairul Hossain.
